Overview
All Video Downloader (the “Extension”) is a browser extension by Araf Studio that lets you paste a link to a public video and save the file to your device. We built it to do that one job and to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what the Extension processes, why, and what it never does.
What we do not collect
- No account, sign-in, name, or email address is required or collected.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking tools are included.
- We do not collect your browsing history or read the web pages you visit.
- We do not run a server that stores your links, downloads, or personal data.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal information.
What the Extension processes
Video links you submit. When you press “Get video”, the link you pasted is sent to third-party video-lookup APIs (through RapidAPI) so they can return the downloadable file addresses, title, and thumbnail. This is required for the Extension to work.
Clipboard. If you press the “Paste” button, the Extension reads the text in your clipboard once and places it in the link field. The clipboard is never read in the background and its content is not stored or sent anywhere until you choose to submit it.
Downloaded files. When you press “Download”, the file is saved through your browser’s built-in download manager. The file is transferred directly between your browser and the platform hosting the video.
Permissions used
- downloads – saves the video or audio file you chose to your device.
- clipboardRead – powers the “Paste” button.
- Access to *.rapidapi.com – sends the link you submit to the video-lookup APIs. No other websites are accessed.
Third-party services
The links you submit are processed by RapidAPI and by the API providers listed on it. They handle those requests under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control. Videos are hosted by their original platforms (for example TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook), and downloading a file connects your browser to those platforms.
Cookies and local storage
The Extension does not set cookies and does not save your links or history on your device.
Responsible use
Only download content that you own, that is in the public domain, or that you have permission to save. You are responsible for following the terms of the platforms you use and the copyright laws that apply to you. Araf Studio does not host, store, or distribute any video.
Children’s privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If the Extension changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
